Are you having trouble focusing on the computer for eight or nine hours a day? I had.. I did a bit of digging (research). It turns out a bit of it is computer vision fatigue (decreased blinking and blue light glare from the computer), a lot of it are usually due to dry eyes.
There are many factors that caused dry eyes. It could be superficial, but also can be hormonal or neurological. The goal of treating this dry eye disease is to restore the eye to it’s normal state. It can be done by a spectrum of treatments.
To have your dry eyes managed properly, tests needs to be done to evaluate the dry eye causes, and to what degree of severity. See example here. Treatment can be minimal to extensive, including anti-inflammatory drugs and steroid.
To function all eight or nine hours at the computer daily, ask your Optometrist to have your dry eyes assessed and managed.
