Warden Optometry is Markham’s own personalized eye care center serving patients of all ages. We help you see clear, comfortably and consistently, by designing your vision starting from the eye exam.
Since opening this Markham eye care center in 2012, serving the local citizens gives us the joy to provide you with the best vision you can have.
Dr. Yan Ling Liang started wearing glasses at age 11 while living in Guangzhou, China. However, her love of optometry didn’t begin until she started looking for contact lenses while living in Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Liang studied for Biomedical Science at the University of Waterloo, where she also studied for her Doctor of Optometry. After graduation, she practiced optometry in Edmonton, Alberta, and Thornhill, Ontario, before starting her own practice right here in Markham 8 years ago.
Dr. Liang is happy providing excellent eye care service for the families of her community, especially helping children control their symptoms of myopia.
She is so passionate about eye care, that she spend extra time doing further learning to become a developmental and rehabilitative Optometrist.
She is now able to coach children and adults through their steps of eye development and growth in eye control, gaze fixations, eye teaming, visual thinking, and visual memory for sports vision, post-concussion and neural rehabilitation, crossed eye, lazy eyes and learning related vision disorders.
Dr. Liang is a member of good standing with the Ontario Association of Optometrists (where she was also a former board director) and Canadian Association of Optometrists. Dr. Liang had also spent time as a clinical assessor for optometry school graduates, licensing optometrists to practice in Canada.
Dr. Liang volunteers with Ontario Association of Optometrist, Toronto Trillium Lions Club, Yorkville Exotic Cars and WWF Canada. Dr. Liang is a firm believer that resident and corporate involvement both build up strength and wellness of the local community.
She is not only a mentor for new gradudates from Optometry schools, she is also a mentor for Optician co-op students from Georgian College and Seneca College.
Dr. Liang is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
Dr. Rachel Ng completed a Bachelor of Science from McMaster University followed by a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo.
Dr. Ng had the privilege of training in Pinellas Park, Florida under top optometrists and
ophthalmologists for her clinical clerkship. There she extensively trained in ocular disease management such as cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and dry eyedisease.
She has a passion for Indigenous health and providing eye care awareness in northern Ontario communities after having the opportunity to serve the pediatric population in Wiikwemkoong and other reserves or northern townships. She has worked with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind providing eye care in rural communities in Ontario.
She is a firm believer that access to care should always be a priority.
Dr. Ng practices full-scope optometry and welcomes patients of all ages and demographics.
She is passionate about building trusting relationship with her patients in order to provide
specific treatments and solutions to suit their lifestyle. She believes prevention is the best
medicine and recommends regular examination for all ages.
Dr. Ng is a member of the Ontario College of Optometrists, the Ontario Association of
Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
In her spare time, Dr. Ng is an avid audio bookworm who likes psychology, calligraphy and earl grey tea.

Dr. Liang’s professionalism helped my son improve his vision which was a big obstacle for his learning. After his vision improvement, his reading ability improved at the same time, increasing his interest in reading and learning. We cannot thank Dr. Liang enough. Without her assistance, I can’t imagine how my son will be perform in school.
It is such a great experience to have eyes training in this clinic. Doctor Liang is professional, knowledgeable and kindness. All staff very friendly, I really appreciate Dr. Liang’s efforts on my daughter.
Dr. Liang is very professional and patient to help my father doing eye examinations and recommend the most suitable eye glasses to my father and my daughter. The optometry clinic has some toys and books prepared for little kids and my daughters really enjoyed it. It is very clean and organized. Great customer experience with reasonable price. 100% recommended!
Had a great experience. Went in for a new pair of glasses and a check up (I was experiencing eye fatigue). Dr. Liang was thorough in explaining my eye fatigue and results of my retinography. The front desk was also friendly and helpful when choosing my new pair.
Amazing service! My daughter is so happy with her new prescription. Thank you for your great service and support when we had to change the glasses!
Hi. I just felt compelled to convey my experience with Kim when I called. Oh my! What a lovely person. With bankruptcy being difficult enough and now Covid our situation has been very difficult. When I called today Kim was so upbeat, patient and understanding. I have always dreaded calling in as I’ve always felt like I might be judged harshly for the situation we are in. Kim made my day. I actually cried when off the phone because she talked and listened to me.
Thanks for being the kind of person that makes a big difference Shanaz. You’ve been a life changer for the entire family and for that we will forever be thankful to you. We are your biggest fans all the way from N.B.
